DDM Dharma Light Ceremony in memory of Master Sheng Yen's 4th Anniversary (法鼓山傳燈日~聖嚴師父圓寂四周年感恩活動)
Date: 24th February 2013 (Sunday)
Time: 2pm ~ 3:30pm
Address: 36 McDowall Street, Mitcham 3121
Enquiry: [email protected] or 0407 388 366 (Tess)
This event will be a great opportunity to learn more about Dharma Drum Mountain and our late Chan Master Sheng Yen who taught Chan Chinese Buddhism in the West for over thirty years.
The late Master Sheng Yen passed away in 2009 and in February of this year will mark the 4th Anniversary of ceremony of Master Sheng Yen.
The late Chan Master Sheng Yen liked to call himself “an itinerant monk pressing forward in snow and wind.” His life was full of trials, tribulations, and twists. His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama once said, "When I listen to Master Sheng Yen's presentation of Chan Buddhist teachings, my immediate and very profound feeling is that I am listening to words of wisdom from someone who is very experienced and a great practitioner."
Dharma Light Ceremony is in memory of Master Sheng Yen and I sincerely hope you will be able to join us for this most worthwhile event.
I look forward to seeing you all on Sunday, 24th February.
